Hi folks, here is another custom bike that is worth your attention. It’s a must see project for those who are fond of board trackers; for others – I’m sure it will be interesting for you to see how an Izh motorcycle can look like.
The main feature of this custom Izh board tracker is definitely the frame. Yes, the first thing you see when looking at the frame is its hardtail style, but if you look closer you will see that it’s not only a frame, but a gas tank as well. I have no idea how much fuel this frame tank contains, but it’s obvious that this is not the bike you will take for a long ride.
As for the bike itself, well, it has standard wheels painted in yellow. The front fork is a standard one as well. The handlebar was replaced with clip-ons to meet the design idea. Both fenders were created from scratch. They won’t protect your back and the bike itself from dirt and water during the rain, but they fit the general look of this custom board tracker ideally, and this is their main purpose. The seat is a custom-made as well. It’s small and inconvenient, especially if taking into account the hardtail style of the frame, yet, just like in case with the fenders, it suits the bike design perfectly.
The easiest part of this review is to describe the lights. Both head and tail lights were taken from who knows where. As for the turn lights, there are no turn lights at all, just like on any board tracker actually.
I have no idea what has been done to the engine, so I can tell you anything about this matter. If I were the creator of the bike, I would not change a thing in the engine. The main idea of the bike doesn’t require it to be super-fast and have exceptional performance, that’s why I see no reason to try and improve the performance of the engine. Besides, an Izh Planeta 3 motorcycle has a pretty reliable engine, so it should be good enough for this particular custom project.
I don’t know how about you, but personally I like this custom Izh Planeta 3 because of one simple reason – I’ve never seen an Izh motorcycle that would look like that. Share your thoughts on this project in the comments section below and don’t forget to have a look at other custom cossack motorcycles.
P.S. Sorry for the quality of the images, these are the only photos I managed to find.
